Workaholic

We are going home for the holidays this year and I am hoping that I can catch up with my best friend to maybe cook up some ideas for successful home businesses. Working for somebody else can be sometimes difficult. Working for yourself is the best! In time, I certainly don’t want to be continually dragging myself to the office when I am in my fifties. Hopefully by then, it will be more easygoing, less hectic and less stressful, without the pressures of having to prove anything or the expectations of having to reach your billing targets. LOL. With that said, I just realised how terribly stressed I am today with work! :P

Charice fever

So who hasn’t seen Charice on Glee? LOL!

I must say, she really has stepped up to the plate! There is so much improvement since the last time I watched her on the Oprah show. She certainly has done the Filipinos proud!

I am looking forward to the future episodes, and I hope to see her perform on the screen more! Let’s hope the little girl doesn’t hog the TV like she does now. She does it every time your favorite show or movie is on! :( It’s like you feel the need to use a pair of binoculars once she’s right up there at the front!

Nappy game

We attended a friend’s baby shower party yesterday, and J and I participated in one of the games. We (the wives) were tasked to use toilet paper and make the best looking nappy in the least amount of time. I got dizzy after a while of rolling the paper around J’s body. Although we didn’t finish in record time, our work was judged the best looking of all (however, would certainly not be considered as one of your sexy costumes). Just imagine a grown-up with a nappy made out of toilet paper. It was pretty hilarious, I tell you! :D

Return of the Sunday Meme

I haven’t had this meme in looong time, so here goes.

1. :::sniff, sniff::: Is the dog in the house?
Nope, and we don’t ever plan to. That’s probably the huge pile of laundry that’s caught your attention. LOL.

2. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Just let go, and everything will just fall into place.

3. What’s the worst experience you’ve ever had involving alcohol?
Drank too much on an empty stomach during a Christmas party with college friends. That’s never ever going to happen again. I am glad there are no slideshows to replay this God-awful incident. :P

4. What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done to another person?
Lie to them – white lie, big lie. Doesn’t matter.

5. Who do you think started the concept of memes?
No idea.

6. Give a song title or line that describes how you are feeling right now.
Better days.

7. What’s your favorite search engine? Yahoo!, Google, Ask, Bing? or something else?
Goooogle!

8. If Paul is the Cute One and John is the Smart One and George is the Quiet One and Ringo is the Funny One, which Beatle are you?
If that’s the basis of the analogy then I am George.

9. The democratic government decides that, not only do we have to share our money with people who choose not to work, we also have to share our children with those who do not want to ruin their bodies with being pregnant. Which child do you give up?
NONE!

10. When should you procrastinate – now or later?
Funny. Later of course.

11. What is your favorite fast food?
burgers and chips.

12. What was your favourite game as a child?
Patintero as the Filipinos call it. I don’t know if they have a similar game in the Western world.

13. Why terrible twos have to be terrible
Toddlers have no control of their emotions but they do not have enough capacity to tell you about it. You have to figure out what’s troubling them for yourself.

14. Describe your favorite family member.
Despite our differences, my mom. In my immediate family, it is of course our little girl.

15. What does your favorite breakfast consist of?
Garlic fried rice, fried egg, and sausages. Long-si-log if you will.

16. What food is better the day after it was made?
Stews or casseroles like kaldereta!

17. What was your last big purchase?
And biggest mistake as well if I may add — a bottle of Chanel chance (50mL) for a hundred bucks.

18. When was the last time you kissed someone and really enjoyed it?
Last night with hubby.

19. Why are there memes?
No frickin’ idea.

20. Described yourself using two words that rhyme. (i.e. fuddy-duddy)
Yummy mummy? ;)

21. If you were given the option of a “do-over” in life .. would you take it?

22. What movie makes (or has made) you cry? What touched you about it?
I’m not sure if it was ‘My Sister’s Keeper,’ but I couldn’t sustain it because of the totally different ending.

23. What is one big mistake that you did in your life? And what did you do to make it right?
Relationship issues, big time. And I am still trying to learn. I guess making a commitment to do the right thing is making things right.

24. When Life Gives You Lemons, What Do You Do With Them?
Lemonade? But with sugar please!

25. How different are you in real life as compared to the online identity you have created for yourself?
I am more reserved in real life.

26. Do you know what your parents would have named you if you had been born the opposite sex?
Probably Rex. That is my brother’s name. If he was born a female, he would’ve probably been named Leah. :)
