In due time

I guess one of my desires in life is to get into further studies, on a special interest of mine. But with my terribly busy schedule, I suppose the only solution I can think of is to earn a degree online, and to be able to complete it at my own convenience. I certainly hope there is such a thing, because I would definitely be very interested. As to what that specialisation is, I have yet to decide. There is just so many things out there tickles my fancy. In due time, I am sure it’ll come to me.

Rekindling

Yes, I have somewhat rekindled my love for baking. It must be the cold weather I reckon. But I think it is must be because of late I have had more successes with the end products.

I have been baking blonde brownies a couple of times already, and have had quite positive feedback from them. The most recent (unexpected) success was with my first attempt at baking sticky date pudding for a Christmas in July dinner with workmates last night. It caved in at the middle, which was quite disappointing. But when I heard their raves, I was completely relieved! I guess it really does all come down to the taste, hey? :)

Gosh, all this talk about food is making me hungry all over again. I certainly don’t want to go to the deep end by reading up on nuphedragen reviews to help me lose the weight!

Tripping

Now that half of the year’s already gone, Christmas immediately comes into mind. As we will be spending the holidays in Oz, the family are planning to take a domestic or maybe even a short international trip. Right now it is toss between the Gold Coast and New Zealand.

I have never been to either places, so I am keen to visit them. J is leaning towards GC, but I, on the other hand, am finding NZ more interesting. To be able to convince J though of my preference, the challenge for me is to plan a trip within our small budget. I am still in a rut, as I have absolutely no idea where to specifically head to in NZ. There has to be an all inclusive travel package that I can get us for this trip. Only problem is where to avail of such a thing pronto. I guess that just means I should be doing more research.

Time of the year

Oh boy, the little girl is sick again. I am not surprised though as this week has just been a shocker for us, what with the outrageous drops to temperature. In the past few days, we have been having lows of minus 4 or 5, so it is no wonder when we wake up in the morning with cars’ windshields frosted and we see footy fields blanketed with thick frost, almost snow-like.

It is temperatures like these when you just want to stay indoors and keep warm with a hot mug of coffee or tea or hide under your doona. Oh and yes, keeping indoors within the shops too because it is time for the end of financial year clearance sales! What perfect timing to use those shoebuy coupons to make those discounts even less! It’s that most wonderful time of the year…. :D
