Married life down under

I forgot to do this last weekend so will do it in time for the second part tomorrow, before I get distracted with trying to review top electronic cigarette companies.

40 bucks, I think.

A co-worker of mine, asking if I was coming in for work that day.

Empire state of mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

7. What shirt are you wearing?
Black sweater.

8. Do you label yourself?
Nope.

9. Name the brand of the shoes you’re currently wearing?
No shoes right now. Just got up from bed. I’m wearing slippers from Her Bench though.

In between.

11. Did you do anything to celebrate John Lennon’s 70th yesterday?
Nope…

12. What does your watch look like?
It’s a citizen two-tone watch, given to me by my mom when I was 19. I really should get a new one and update!

13. What were you doing at midnight last night?
Trying to sleep. Erin keeps kicking me, so I keep waking up.

14. What did your last text message you received on your cell say?
“Good timing. Just got home. Feeling better, just tired.” This was from my mom when I asked if she has gone home from the hospital.

15. Where is your nearest 7-11?
I don’t really know.

16. What’s a word that you say a lot?
“Hurry!” That’s to Erin.

17. Who told you he/she loved you last?
My little girl, before she went to sleep last night.

18. Last furry thing you touched?
Erin’s Minnie Mouse stuffed toy.

19. How many drugs have you done in the last three days?
Nada.

20. How many rolls of film do you need developed?
They weren’t rolls as they’re all digital pictures now. Just recently had about more than a hundred pics developed last week.

21. Favorite age you have been so far?
Late 20′s I reckon.

22. Your worst enemy?
I hating having a debate with J. I always lose.

23. What is your current desktop picture (extra points if you post it.)?
I don’t have one, would you believe it?!

24. What was the last thing you said to someone?
“Possible showers, 12 degrees” when J asked what the weather forecast was today.

25. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?
Million bucks!!!!!!!!!!! No brainer.

The big vacation is coming up, and the b-box is almost packed and ready to go. Maybe in the next few years we can consider Orlando vacations on to our itinerary, since we have got a number of relatives up there to see and catch up with. I’ve never been to the northern hemisphere myself, so I imagine it is going to be exciting. I can’t wait to bring the little girl as well because I am certain she will also have a ball. All that’s left to get there is to start taking little steps, and we will be on our way.

My SIL’s family has gone into a major home reno project for their house and is nearing completion. We went there a couple of months ago, in the midst of all the makeover, and even at that point, their house had already become a totally different place. Gone were the discount laminate flooring, to be replaced by wonderful timber floors. There was a massive beautiful kitchen installed and wonderful new furniture to be added as well. It certainly made us (or at least me) think of making changes in our house too.

We went shopping yesterday for gifts to include in our tiny balikbayan box. And as I passed by the shoe store, I thought I’d take the chance to ask the lady if I could have my lovely new shoes exchanged because its heel broke off the first time I wore it. I lost the receipt for some reason, and was worried I would have spend heaps on repair. But I guess asking won’t hurt, and so I did. And much to my surprise, the sales lady said they would exchange it for a new pair! And she printed out a copy of the receipt so I can present it when I came back for the exchange.

So yes, I have to be there at their store as soon as they open, to make sure that I can still get a replacement for my beloved stilletos. And since I’ll be unusually early on this public holiday, maybe I’ll have a peek on some glass tile or what-not’s at the other stores.
