Call to Hell

I know it was going to be a terrible week for me. I was right. The call to hell (not from) occurred today, and I still regretting why I insisted on calling this client.

You see, I’ve just been handed over 9 cases. In my attempt to go through each and every one of them this week, I stumbled into a very rude client who certainly did not have any intention on putting on breaks on his mouth. It’s tough enough that I have no choice but to accept all these cases, and this is what I get in return for helping them out? This client, out of nowhere, jumped at me before I could even think of a smart ass comeback.

Client: I’m confused. What is all this documentation? Why are you now planning to send this to my supervisor without consulting me first.

Me: Well, actually, I have not sent anyone anything yet, and you are the first person I have contacted.

Client: Do you know anything about my case? Have you read my file? Shouldn’t you be interested in me? You are my case manager!

Me: I am in the middle of reading your file. However, this document has long been sitting in your file and needs to be sent off to the appropriate people. I am just here to work for your best interest. I apologise if it seemed that I was not interested in your case. (Note to self: Big boo boo. Never apologise woman!!!)

Client: Ok. Well, call me back once you’ve read my file. Bye.

And he hung up. What a way to end the day. I certainly need all the vitamins for acne for this stress I’m dealing with. It really is not good anymore.
