First Day
So how did my first day go? Well, not too bad, if I say so myself.
My workmates have been very accomodating, and have been terribly helpful in getting me all settled in. We managed to move around some things and make my room (Yes, I have my very own room!!!) my own with a computer installed, and a new office email address to boot. I know it’s not much, but hey, if you’ve been out of the workforce for almost four years, things as shallow as these do get me excited. LOL.
The other OT who I will be working with has been really keen as well on teaching me the basics of the nature of our work there. Although there was massive information overload, I am sure I will soon get the hang of things when I put in more work hours. This week I’m working two days, but next week thereon, I will be working three days weekly.
Now all I need is to make sure I pass the driving exam which takes place in three weeks’ time, because our work requires us to be on the road quite a bit, visiting clients and stuff. In the meantime, I am happy with just taking the bus as it gets me back to being active because I am now getting my fill of weekly brisk walks (in heels!) going home. I must remember then to bring walking shoes with me to work and strike out “buy diet pill” on my shopping list.
