We haven’t been really taking a break the whole time J’s on leave. Aside from the usual get-togethers, we’ve mostly been out for home improvement projects. As I’ve mentioned earlier, the blinds are up. Since we removed all those curtain bars (which left numerous holes on the walls by the way), J has had to fill them rotten holes up yesterday, with the walls now ready to be painted probably after new year’s day. And recently, we were able to finally purchase some cabinets for the dining room/kitchen and spare bedroom. And yes, inspite of all that, we were still able to shop for ourselves (clothes-wise) at delightfully heavily marked down prices. That, I reckon, was the icing on the cake. :D

This week too, J has let me driven the car everytime we go out. And it’s not just around Tuggeranong anymore. I’ve managed to drive all the way to Gungahlin, which is one of the northern-most new suburbs here in the ACT. Yup, am a little bit more confident now, but I still get confused with those damn roundabouts. In due time, I hope to cruise down the road, passing by Mulberry trees and what-nots, without having to worry about what gear to shift or who goes first. Soon I hope!
