The Weekend That Was

So how did your weekend go?

We celebrated Mother’s Day a day early as we had a special lunch scheduled with relatives yesterday. J, Erin and I went to the nearest mall to have lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, did a little shopping (J bought me a real good pair of comfy boots, the best buy we could find), did our weekly grocery and went to the local video shop to rent a movie solely for my enjoyment. It was chick flick night so I went with The Nanny Diaries. I’ve read the novel when I was still based in Manila and was curious to see the movie. It was ok. Yun lang.

On Sunday, I was surprised with a big greeting card from the little girl (c/o J of course). Then we headed over to a relatives house where we had lunch. Food, as usual, was abundant and we had a great time catching up with everyone. The little girl was being good the whole time and once again, they were all smitten by her.

Speaking of Erin, she is now sporting a new wound on her nose. She fell down the bed earlier this week. Poor baby! She moves so fast these days, we have to be always on guard. On the bright side though, she’s been like a sponge and has been learning so many antics these past few days. I’ve managed to make her imitate me while we sing action songs (e.g. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star). She had so many tricks up her sleeve yesterday, which was all she needed to win everybody’s heart.
