Are you familiar with Smorty? Yes, it is one of those get-paid-to-blog sites on the web. In other words, once you sign up with them, you receive compensation from them in return for blog advertising made on your site.

I figured it would not hurt to also enrol this site so we could blog for extra money as well. The additional cash will surely make a lot of difference in our finances. In other words, I have got more moolah for shopping! This is good news for us all, more so now that Christmas is fast approaching.

I have no qualms about Smorty. I have worked for them before and so far, I have not yet encountered any problems with them, especially in as far as payment is concerned. They pay on a weekly basis. It is that fast! The compensation is not bad too, just about the same range as the others.

Yesterday we witnessed what could have been a sneak preview of what summer days are going to be like in our region. Can you imagine 31C in the middle of spring?

I swear, it was like being baked in an oven! Poor Erin could hardly get some shut-eye because of the sweltering heat. It even moved her bedtime to a later schedule in the night, when it was cooler.

Last year’s temperature was less worse so our old reliable fan was enough for us. This year? Not a chance! We are seriously considering now to shop for more efficient air-conditioning.

I think it’s a vicious cycle. We are currently feeling the effects of climate change and yet, here we are buying appliances (that aggravate it even more) to combat it. Ironic, isn’t it?

Oh dear, maybe at least an hour; two at most! J says I am soooo slow. I think it irritates the hell out of him because he can finish in 15 minutes. That’s why whenever we go out, he gives me a deadline as to what time I should be ready.

I have only 5 first cousins, all from my father’s side. Mom is an only child but she has hordes of first cousins. So, I got lots of second cousins from her side. As to their number, I think there are at least 60 of us SCs from my mom’s side alone.
